A new playground opened in Alajuelita

DSC00777A new park along with a multi-purpose court for children and youth opened in the Garcia Monge neighborhood, in front of Alajuelita’s Casa Abierta.

This park was made possible because of the church’s relationship with the local community, organizations, and the municipality. The church was represented by the Pastor of the community, Joaquin Hoering, and Teresa Guadamuz of the local committee, Carlos Leiton Madrigal, of the Bible Baptist church, who honored the day with a blessing.

The director of Casa Abierta, Marta Gaitan, received a certificate naming her official sponsor of the play area.

In his preaching, Pastor Joaquin referred to the Gospel of the Children where Mark says,“Let the little children come to me and do not stop them, for the kingdom of God is for the little children.

Throughout the world, people often say, “The children are our future and despiteDSC00772 the Fact that those are only words, this type of space will strengthen the development of children. This playground is a blessing for children. Despite the fact that the fight has been difficult, the creation of this multipurpose court and play area is a real achievement for the entire community.

Not only will this park benefit the children at Casa Abierta, but it will also be used by youth, adults, and local organizations. It is a great asset for the entire community.
