Two couples from First Lutheran Church in Burnet, Texas, spent a week getting to know ILCO and the rural, banana plantation communities in the Sarapiquí region.

As part of their visit, Marvin & Josie Davis and Mike & Sharon Childers led a quilting workshop with women from various ILCO communities of faith. They also shared with youth and children in the rural communities of San Julían and El Jardín. In San Julián, the four - with financial support from their congregation - worked with the community to build a new water tower and replace the tank.
