DSC00777A new park along with a multi-purpose court for children and youth opened in the Garcia Monge neighborhood, in front of Alajuelita’s Casa Abierta.

This park was made possible because of the church’s relationship with the local community, organizations, and the municipality. The church was represented by the Pastor of the community, Joaquin Hoering, and Teresa Guadamuz of the local committee, Carlos Leiton Madrigal, of the Bible Baptist church, who honored the day with a blessing.

marchaThe Costa Rican Lutheran Church and the European Union initiated a program “Preventing domestic violence.” This mission is possible, thanks to the cooperation and support of partner countries that, on the 20th of December, 2011, signed an agreement with the Lutheran Church, Soccer for Life, and the Central American Institute of Governance.

The Costa Rican Lutheran Church officially opened on June 28, 2012 the installation of solar panels at its headquarters in Paso Ancho, which was put in place to address the threat of climate change and its consequences for the biosphere, and especially the most impoverished people of the earth.
